The Primary
What is everyone feeling about next weeks primary? Will Rico make it out of next week? There was some good points from his competitors...Sound off and let us know what you think!
Truly Rico is only one of 4 current councilors that vote in the best interests of the city of Peabody. Rico might have 2 challengers on the ballot, but neither of them are real challengers.
You will all be shocked at the results in the primary.
I do not see Rico winning in a landslide. I have a feeling there could be some surprises coming his way based on what I have heard from with the voters in his ward. They are not happy and he has tried to make himself visible at that citywide school group with Joyce Spiliotis because they both know they are in desperate need of voter support. Rico does nothing more than go against everybody. I really do not know what he stands for.
Manning and Gravel, they are quickly taking the "Power Couple of Peabody" title from Spiliotis and Jarvis!
Ina all seriousness, M&G seem to have their hand in a couple of races. Not only are they helping Serino, but them two, along with Osborne, are working for Fitzgerald. This is a pretty formidable foursome and they are all in the same ward! A friend of mine who knows Osborne says the contingency plan for Fitzgerald if he is not elected mayor, but has good numbers in Ward One, is for Osborne to run at-large in the 2013 election and that would leave Osborne's ward seat open for Fitzgerald. If Fitzgerald's city wide numbers are good, Fitzgerald will then run at-large and Osborne will just keep his ward seat. Either way, the foursome will be back together at city hall some how.
First off they all would have to get re-elected. I think Manning is going to have an uphill battle to win the seat this time around. They only thing they have going for them is that Bettencourt is not running for at large....lol How many races will it take Sean that he is not wanted as a representative of this city
Wow, it sounds like they are already planning Seans loss. When Sean loses, he's done. What he going to do. Every year tell Plaistow he's running for another office.
Ward Three - the candidates seem like nice people and I wish them well, however, one key reason I favor Rico Mello is he does not go along with the others, Manning, Gravel, Gamache, etc... good to keep a balance on the council.
DMato is a dope, but he's our dope and he is less dopey than the other dudes. Vote for the dope, he'll be able to cope even with his buggy eyes and bright pink face.
Bill will top it. I am betting my house. He is the most qualified. d'Amato is only on there because his Peabody High jocko buds put him there. T&L Liquors betta have extra BudLite in stock because there is going to be a lot of drowning of some sorrows by 8 o clock tomorrow night. I think dopey Tom is going to finish third.
Alweird will finish 5th. I would bet my wife. D'Amato is DA MAN. He has done a lot of good for that lite plante. Lite Plante. Lite beer. What's the difference. Hicup ... hicup
OG says...what are you people smoking? Do you honestly think that Mello will not handily win over his two opponents? Let's see ...he is an incumbent and he has some name recognition...a winning formula for sure here in dull Dark City my friends! and that's how OG sees it...
OG go stick a sock in it. You are not as profound as you think you are and maybe you should consider just posting anonymously and not have a sign off...
I hope I am wrong and Alyward finishes a strong second but I hear that the mayor and his goon squads have been calling citywide to get people to vote for Birmingham.
OG says...time to go to bed Dark City...your uninvolved electorate came thru for you again... Incumbents Mello, D'Amato on Top in Low Turnout Primary According to City Clerk Tim Spanos, the turnout in Ward 3 was 17 percent of registered voters, compared to 12 percent citywide for the Light Commission race.
Just read the Snooze. Mello crushes Serino and the Snooze leads with Serino saying he can't wait for the final! What to get smoked again! This papers a joke. In the electic light race should be an interesting final. Damato in the lead followed closely by Alyward and Birmingham. I have to believe all the bad press in the papers about the plant hurts Damato. Let the games begin.

ReplyDeleteYou will all be shocked at the results in the primary.
Rico wins in a landslide like Bettencourt.

ReplyDeleteManning and Gravel are helping Serino in Ward 3 against Mello. If thats the case its Mello by a landslide.
ReplyDeleteThe mayor is also helping Serino. Bad news
ReplyDeleteManning and Gravel, they are quickly taking the "Power Couple of Peabody" title from Spiliotis and Jarvis!

ReplyDeleteWell Manning is definitely gone this year so that is one down
ReplyDeleteTwo days until the primar.
ReplyDeletePredictions anyone?
I think it's DAmato and Alyward top 2 in PLMP. I think Feld finishes last.
Rico in a rout.
Alyward in a rout! DiaMato doesn't stand a chance.
ReplyDeleteWhat's With Aylward?
ReplyDeleteTwo years ago the Salem News did a bio on his Councillor At Large bid. It listed him as "the executive chef" at a local golf course.
Today he has 20+ years executive management experience?
Tad Technical Insitute is not in my top 10 higher educational schools for management.
yah. He's way less "qualified" than some knucklehead who sells lottery tickets for a living. The incumbents a goon. Bill will top ticket. Easily....
ReplyDelete"Soup to Nuts'
ReplyDeleteWhat can we expect in Peabody?
I'm voting for Pilkons!!! The most level-headed,REALLY qualified candidate!!
Go Walt Go !!!!!
DMato is a dope, but he's our dope and he is less dopey than the other dudes. Vote for the dope, he'll be able to cope even with his buggy eyes and bright pink face.

ReplyDeleteWho's Alyward? I know Tom D. I like Tom D. He is way better than those other fools. Sharp dude. Good dude.
ReplyDeleteAlyward is the guy who is going to embarrass the s-head incumbent tomorrow. Bye Bye Tom. Enjoy your fourth place finish.
ReplyDeleteSean blog is blowing up today...
ReplyDeletePlease explain how Alyward is the most qualified?
ReplyDeleteHe is the most qualified because the other guy is low rent.
ReplyDeleteAlweird will finish 5th. I would bet my wife. D'Amato is DA MAN. He has done a lot of good for that lite plante. Lite Plante. Lite beer. What's the difference. Hicup ... hicup
ReplyDeleteAylward makes a great tuna tartare. Maybe he can run for school committee next election cycle.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Pinky DMato can run for mayor next time. He's a handsome genius.
ReplyDeleteEnough with the insults.... May the best man win.
ReplyDeleteOG says...what are you people smoking? Do you honestly think that Mello will not handily win over his two opponents? Let's see ...he is an incumbent and he has some name recognition...a winning formula for sure here in dull Dark City my friends! and that's how OG sees it...

ReplyDeletePREDICTION. See how close I get
ReplyDeleteD'Amato 1,275
Birmingham 597
Alyward 382
Feld 277
Pilkons 188
I hope I am wrong and Alyward finishes a strong second but I hear that the mayor and his goon squads have been calling citywide to get people to vote for Birmingham.
Gonna do a PREDICTION for Ward 3 too:
ReplyDeleteMello 367
Serino 244
Jennings 78
Comfortable win for Rico today.
Polls are having a very weak turnout today...They may all be close races due to low turnout...
ReplyDeleteAny results yet? I heard that Rico Mello edged Serino in Ward 3 and that Jennings was easily last.
ReplyDeleteWhat's happening with Light Commissioner?
ACTUAL COUNT...
ReplyDeleteDAMATO 1095
AYLWARD 824
BIRMINGHAM 713
FELD 495
PILKONS 293
OG says...time to go to bed Dark City...your uninvolved electorate came thru for you again... Incumbents Mello, D'Amato on Top in Low Turnout Primary
ReplyDeleteAccording to City Clerk Tim Spanos, the turnout in Ward 3 was 17 percent of registered voters, compared to 12 percent citywide for the Light Commission race.
OG U are a goofball. D'Mato didn't top it by that much. Great job by Alyward!
ReplyDeleteJust read the Snooze. Mello crushes Serino and the Snooze leads with Serino saying he can't wait for the final! What to get smoked again!

I think D'Mato might be in trouble. That was as very weak prelim showing when you consider he was going against lesser known challengers.
